FAQ’s

  • No, I am not a licensed therapist. I have a Masters of Education in Health & Family Sciences and hold a professional teaching license in Massachusetts.  My undergrad is in Communications and Leadership and my experience comes from over twenty years of coaching and teaching teenagers. While I do not provide therapy, I offer tools and insights to improve parent-teen connections.

  • I do! I have a 13-year-old daughter, Gia and a 10-year-old son, Charlie.

  • 1:1 consulting, group classes, and workshops tailored for parents with teens. I also offer mediation for teenagers and parents.

  • You can sign up by filling out the inquiry form, and I will get back to you with availability. Or contact me via email. caitlin@teenconnectionsconsulting.com

  • Workshops are six weeks long. We meet once a week for two hours, and I am almost always available to stay a little longer if we are in the middle of something really good!

  • A workshop is a 6-week course with a broad focus on parenting teenagers. We create a support group culture, interact with the information and take time to process together.  A group class is one three-hour class on a specific topic.  Participants may have already taken the workshop or they may be just dropping in for one class.

  • It is totally understandable that you may not be able to commit to a certain week, or something comes up with your family and you need to miss a week.  I can’t offer makeups because of the limited space, but I send a wrap-up after each class that goes over what we covered and any great conversations that happened, or recommendations people made.  I also start each class with a review of the previous week.

  • I do. I have space for seven people in each workshop, and I will keep a waitlist in case someone has to back out before the first workshop.  I will open up the next session to the waitlist first and then will post open spots after.

  • Yes.  I require payment no later than a week prior to the class so that I can open spots up to wait-listed clients.

  • I can offer a refund if someone from the waitlist can fill your seat. If I can’t fill your seat, then I will keep your payment, and it can be applied to a future workshop.

  • Currently, I can accept cash, check or Venmo.  My Venmo is @CaitlinPlask21. If you would like to pay by cash or check, I will send you the address.
